One that we feel highlights the beauty and creativity in our current psychedelic music scene. We love innovative music that is easy on the ears, this is not limited to ambient sounds, there are some artists out there that can create high energy trance that is tranquil on the ears... Here I was, on the d-floor, dancing away in my own world... when i notice a change in the music styles.. so I look up to see a young man, consciously sending these amazing vibrations through the speakers.. A feeling or perhaps simply a sound that has long gone unheard... With a bit of investigating and audio detective work, I found the man behind this... Now I have been quite busy listening to many different artists and albums this last month, but it is this man, and this album, and more importantly that moment on the d-floor that made this the clear winner... I hope you guys get the same feeling when you listen to this..

REDSHIFT.
We had the pleasure of listening to Redshift and this, then unreleased album, through an amazing Danley Sound System at our Tree Psyde 2016 event. It was by far the most amazing sounds I have heard. The sound system only amplifies the true sound, it doesn't alter it, Redshift provided some High Definition music.
Change of Pace is the debut album of Redshift, released on Melbourne-based progressive psytrance label Universal Tribe Records. It contains 8 tracks full of dark atmospheres and harsh mechanical textures complemented by dark, techno-influenced bass lines. The tracks build in tempo as the album proceeds into more progressive territory, delivering a journey from start to finish.

The debut compilation from Conclave Records, all tracks beautifully crafted in the divine scale and tuning of 432hz. Many years in the making, we are proud to finally present to you. the first endeavor, in a new series of releases that focus on the map of creation, and the different aspects of creation as represented through the Sephirot of the Tree of Life. Each track represents as the artist envisioned, to show what the representation of each of the energetic forms of the Sephirot are and allow you to hear the intention of such ideas as a sonic force to move creation along the path of ascension.
With a lineup from all corners of our globe, with some of the most moving sounds created just for this special experience.

An 8-track album that soothes your entire being. with melodic rises and funky kick snare sequences, this album will have you either relaxing to your core or getting up and dancing where ever you may be... I gained a lot from listening to this album intently, its brought out emotion in not just thyself but to all that surrounds. A very inspiring producers that speaks fluently through wav form.
I suggest listening to this album at home first, with the bass turned up, then in the car whilst on a full length journey. Then if you can make sure you catch this being played through a big sound system where you get to feel the vibrations through the dance floor

Celebrating 20 years in the music business, Pitch Black, allegedly the godfathers of New Zealand electronica, are happy to announce the release of their fifth studio album, Filtered Senses.
With the tracks ranging from the ambient wash of “A Great Silence is Spreading” to the stomping foot tapper of “Pixel Dust”, with everything else in between, Filtered Senses could be described as having one foot on the dance floor, one eye in the cinema and both ears in psychedelic stereo.
Despite nine years between albums and four years living in different hemispheres, Filtered Senses is instantly recognisable as a Pitch Black album thanks to the unfeasibly large bass and endless delays sprinkled with touches of playfulness amidst the menacing undertones.

This genre is a style originated with the purpose to harmonise the body vibrations, increase the brain functions and expand the awareness. The Psy-Dream music is focused on the musical scales (Pythagorean, harmonic, Ptolemy, JI) and in the keys frequencies, all tuned with A=432Hz, in according with the natural vibrations of body.
Moreover, all the effects and instruments settings are based on the
numbers and geometry of nature, Fibonacci sequence, and some specific numbers like 8 and its multiples.
The composition method, the deep melodies and the psychedelics trance rhythms tend to alter the listener's mind, change the brainwaves and so the state of consciousness.
Psy-Dream is inspired from trance music, psy-trance, downtempo/psy-chill, the tempo lies in the 72–144 BPM range and it may also contain binaural or monaural beats and isochronic tones (brainwave entrainment). This music, stimulates your brain to lower its waves till 8-4 Hz (Theta waves), the same as when you meditate or dreams, hence the name.

We are very excited to listen to this debut release from exciting new talent from Sydney, Australia... Gumnut!
This first release, entitled 'Nuts and Bolts', is a terrific introduction to the sound-brain of Jack Layard aka Gumnut, who has somehow only been producing on a computer for under a year(!)...in his own words:

Using organic samples and futuristic sound scape, Smilk masterfully creates a mix of eclectic, melodic, minimal progressive-psy. With deep grooves and clean, upbeat percussion and synths, and even the occasional trace of old school hip-hop like sampling, it is very unique and still remains of the highest quality. The Last Rainforest takes the listener on a journey that is flowing and beautiful, yet driven with purpose and intention.

I found this beauty from Sunny San - through Kinematic Records which was the same record label as last months AOTM. This month we have got some outstanding melodic psychedelia.

Seeing as though it is the season to be jolly and all that... we decided to do a double release for this month, and it turns out SUMIRUNA has released two little EP's in the recent past so we are going to show you both of them. His first EP - The Sumiruna, released through Universal Tribe Records, and his latest piece of magic - VLCHEMIC TRVNSMUTVTION, released through Merkaba Music.

Don't you just love a good dose of darkness and forrest psy in your life, whether it be, all the time or just every now and then, I feel its crucial to have this style of music soothing your ears... Its hard to find dark music that still remains tranquil, only few can do it. Those few that i have found have also come from Australia.
If you're a fan of Reflection (Gibb) & his forrest style, then you will love Majahkil, with huge influences drawn from Gibb, whom also did the mastering for this EP.
Currently hailing from the deep rain forrest of the far north region, and a keeper of the secret dark frequencies, he is inspired by his direct environment. The rain forest speaks an ancient, misunderstood dark language. Majahkil's music aims to express his own understanding of the undergrowth, nature, the creatures and the Darkness; the language within it. Explaining the unexplainable... Drawing inspiration from his totem animal Koomalou, the Black Panther, & producing music with low, dark, ominous bass-lines, growls, snarls and mystical beasts - his music will take you on a lower-world adventure of YOUR own creation.

Altho we have not met with Jojo before, we have definitely seen his tunes circulating many dance floors around Australia. Whether producing collaboratively, solo or being remixed, you will begin to notice his chief architectural designs, influence and transform the Australian outdoor music scene.
Crystaleyez EP features 8 beautiful tracks that include input from several other very talented Australian producers such as Synthetik Structures, Mecca, Timmus, Kase Kochen, Mr. Chow & Funkform. Have a listen and see for yourself. It makes you feel right at home, releasing you from all worry or tension and allowing you to connect more freely to the earth and its inhabitants.

We first met with Brendan, when his music caught our interests and we invited him to play at our Tranquil Platypus Gathering which was held in 2014 out in the Upper Wimmera area. A year later and his music still resonates deep within our psyche.
As the name suggests, the music originates from the swamplands of the digital world... Its murky and dirty and thick and makes you sink deep in to a trance. His second EP, this beautifully carved album starts you out in the swamp, inserts some cogs, sprockets and a few gear changes and then takes you through time out into hyperspace to bend your reality and help you better understand the matrix.

For me, personally, this music is spot on... Warm, deep, driving, progressive, yet still has the element of chilled tribal beats. Accompanied with positive mind expanding vocal samples, and organic psychedelic sound FX, all i can say is I'm really loving these tunes.

ANIMATRONIX
We first heard Steve play live at Central Sun Festival, in Victoria, on a Caravan Bar/Stage, a few years ago, and was captured, I hadn't heard anything like it before.
It was healing, the tribal chanting puts you in a trance, whilst the low bass frequencies massage your soul.
We got to welcome Animatronix into the Tranquil circle in 2014 to our collab tree planting party - Tranquil Platypus Gathering -
Hope to welcome him back again some day soon!!!
